My tour of Ortygia’s Food and Culture is a pleasant and very informative tour through the narrow streets of the island, full of history, where I’ll show you the most important cultural sights (Temple of Apollo, Cathedral/Temple of Athena, Duomo Square, Arethusa’s Spring); then the tour continues with a relaxing walk through the Market street, with the possibility to shop, and an amazing lunch at a delicious open air restaurant called “Fratelli Burgio“.
Option 1. Walking Tour
- Rate for the PhD. Archaeologist Guide – Enrica De Melio: € 200 (from 1 to 8 participants)
- Rate for tastings (arancina or cannolo) and lunch at Fratelli Burgio with a cutting board “terra” (platter with cured meats and cheeses, homemade preservers and vegetables, little sweet ricotta cannolo + a glass of wine + water + service = € 30 per person
- Minimum participants: 1
- Maximum participants: 8
- Duration: about 3 hours in the morning (including tastings and lunch)

Option 2. Bike Tour

- Rate for bike rental, insurance, natural mineral water (500 ml): € 10 per person
- Rate for tastings (arancina or cannolo) and lunch at Fratelli Burgio with a cutting board “terra” (platter with cured meats and cheeses, homemade preservers and vegetables, little sweet ricotta cannolo + a glass of wine + water + service = € 30 per person
