Enrica De Melio – PhD Archaeologist Guide in Southeastern Sicily | Travel Designer & Blogger
I’m Enrica De Melio, I was born in Siracusa in 1983, I’m a Classical Archaeologist and a Qualified Tourist Guide for Sicily (ITA-ENG).
I have always been fond of Ancient History and Art, since my childhood and adolescence were spent in Siracusa, so rich with signs and memories of it’s glorious past, in particular of the Greek period.
In 2007, I graduated in Classical Archaeology from the University of Catania.
In 2011, I took my Postgraduate Diploma in Classical Archaeology cum laude from the School of Advanced Studies in Archaeology of Catania.
I had various experiences of archaeological excavation in different sites of Sicily.
I collaborate and work with privates, cultural associations, museums and societies as an archaeologist and a tour guide.
I love traveling, taking photos and walking while discovering new places, where you can appreciate different cultures by experiencing their food, scents, colours and above all, people.
As an expert connoisseur of Sicily, I’ll love to share with you my knowledge of Sicilian archaeology, art, architecture, food and wine.
