Where to sleep

Most of Syracuse’s main sights are in the centre of the old town, which is on Ortigia Island, with the main archaeological sites about 25 minutes walk away. This island was the first place settled by the Corinthians when they landed and still has a very different feel to the rest of the city – packed with beautifully restored Baroque buildings and excellent restaurants you’re only ever moments from a wonderful sea view.

I recommend two nice apartments in Ortigia, one with see-view, that you can book at the following link: Talete Home Ortigia Apartment

If you prefer to stay in a villa outside Syracuse, in a more quite area, I recommend the beautiful villa Le Cinque Palme in Fontane Bianche, famous beach with white sand and crystalline sea, that you can book at the following link: Villa Le Cinque Palme Fontane Bianche
